M4A1 SOPMOD (Version 1)

This video shows my first attempt at the M4A1 SOPMOD (Special Operations Peculiar MODification) which features 4 Rail Interface System (RIS) rails on the hand guard and an ACOG scope (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsights) attached to the Picatinny rail above the receiver.

I attached to the rails a vertical fore grip, tactical light mounted to the right hand rail and a visible laser designator to the top.

It took me a while to produce a build method as the whole assembly took 43 component parts, but I think the end result looked pretty striking (a bit better than stick guns!), especially to my boys who took out the entire enemy single handed.

Here's a few pictures of the first version (not including the one that's now firewood!).

Coming up next will be the M4A1 SOPMOD version 2, and also one with the M203 grenade launcher attached.

Thanks for looking.
