M4A1 SOPMOD (Version 2)

This video shows a slightly revised version of the M4A1 SOPMOD (Special Operations Peculiar MODification) in the background (pictures below), which features just 2 Rail Interface System (RIS) rails on the hand guard and an Red Dot Scope instead of an ACOG scope (Advanced Combat Optical Gunsights) attached to the Picatinny rail above the receiver.

A vertical fore grip still to the bottom rail, but this time the tactical light is mounted in front of the grip. The visible laser designator is still mounted the top rail as in the previous version.

The pictures below show only minor aesthetic changes, but other changes were to do with assembly method.

Might have a go at painting one at some point to look like the original, which will probably involve in spraying the whole gun will a primer, and then painstakingly masking and spraying in various shades of black satin and matt. I think it would look pretty awesome, but probably not a good idea to take out in public though, not without an orange flash hider, unless you want a real one pointing at you!

Coming up next will be the M4A1 SOPMOD with the M203 grenade launcher attached.

Thanks for looking.
